    Practice your brogue and strap on the bagpipes because the annual Calgary Highland Games are on again!

    Initiated by the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) in 1927, the first Highland Games event was held at the Banff Springs Hotel.

    The games, which now take place at Shouldice Park, draw people from far and wide to participate in the popular annual event. As well as offering some unique and traditional sporting events, the games also provide a venue for plenty of toe-tapping music and authentic Scottish dance demonstrations.

    Adult $8, senior $5, child (6 - 12) $5, child under 5 free, family of four $20.
