경제협력기구(OECD)가 7일 발표한 ‘2003 학업성취도 국제비교연구(PISA)’결과에서 알버타 10대 학생들이 매우 우수한 결과를 얻었다.
알버타 10대들은 수학,읽기,과학에서 top 3에 위치했다. 알버타는 수학에서 홍콩에 뒤진 2위, 읽기에서는 핀란드와 공동 1위, 과학에서는 홍콩과 공동 3위,
이 조사에는 41개국이 참가했다.

In recent testing by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Alberta teens placed in the top three for their scores in math, reading and science.

Alberta scored number two in math, second only to Hong Kong.
In reading, the province tied with Finland for first place.
In science testing, Alberta students tied for third with Hong Kong, behind Finland and Japan.
In some cases, students in Alberta did much better than their Canadian counterparts in the tests, which involved more than a quarter of a million 15-year-olds worldwide.
Forty-one countries participated in the survey.
