That will be better.
Hebrews 11:40
One man worked very hard in the sawmill. But he was laid off. He felt so embarrassed because the sawmill was the only job from that he could get money for his family. For some months he was depressed and angered. But he sold his house and started building-construction business. 5 years later, he became 5 millionaire. Who is he? He is Willis Johnson, the founder of Holiday Inn.
When he was laid off by his boss, he hated him. But now he should say to him, "Thank you very much for the lay-off. Of course, when he was laid off first, he did not know why. But after 5 years, he knew the lay-off was God's providence. God has plan to make that better for us. Lots of bible stories support this truth.
Today's scripture also says, "God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect."(Hebrews 11:40 : From NIV) "because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us they would not be made perfect."(Hebrews 11:40 : From NASB)
Let's take a look at Abraham. Abraham is the ancestor of Israelites. God gave him a son Isaac when he was 100 years old. But when his son became a big boy, God told Abraham to give the only begotten son Isaac as a burnt-offering. When Abraham heard this command, he was really surprised and embarrassed. But he obeyed God' command. Then God prepared a lamb instead of Isaac.
And God blessed Abraham, "I swear by myself, declares the LORD, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me."(Genesis 22:16-18)
Is here anyone who is doubtful about God's faithfulness because the terrible problems happen to you. Please do not be backslidden in this case. But believe this, "God makes that better at the end." Say "Amen!" Here are some of us who have experienced that.
Sometimes we face unexpected or incomprehensible trials in our life. In this case, some people doubt even God's existence and presence. But I ask you to believe God who makes that better because God is a good God. God says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."(Jeremiah 29:11)
Jesus said, "Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!"(Matthew 7:9-11)
Is here anyone who has been abandoned by others. Please don't be too much dejected. God will make that better. Is here anyone who feels so lonely or depressed or angered due to the problems, Please wait more. your grief will be turned to joy because God will make that better. My beloved, Don't forget this. Our God is not dead but alive. He works for us. He is a very good God who makes that better. Amen!
